Meet n greet adoptions IS IF a pet does not find an adoptive home first. Adoptable pets MUST have complete/all core vaccines/vetting.  We must have a willing foster, and transport MUST have room~ they do take adopted pets from all adoption agencies first.  Our foster home will set up meet n greets with approved applications and decide which family best suits the pet.

INFORMATION ON A MEET N GREET ADOPTION

We do list adoptable pets at future foster locations.

Pets are available for this option IF pet is not adopted into a home first.

If you wish to do a meet n greet adoption, submit an application if the pets profile states the change in foster home location.

Pets who have complete vetting done will be scheduled for a willing foster home; if transport has room on board.  Longer resident pets will go first.

WHEN A PET IS IN FOSTER CARE UP NORTH THE TRANSPORT FEE HAS BEEN PAID IN ADVANCE.  THE FEE WILL BE ADDED TO THE ADOPTION FEE.

***WE COULD ALWAYS USE ADDITIONAL APPROVED FOSTERS***

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ADOPTERS

Our animals all come from shelters or animals on their way to a shelter that euthanize/kill.  The rescue does not pull animals from puppy mills, backyard breeders, craigslist etc.  The rescue has limited information when it comes to these animals or the parents vetting/medical history if any at all.

All dogs/pups/cats/kittens start in foster care in KY and TN.  The rescue requires all animals to be out of the shelter environment for a minimum of 2~3 weeks before being picked up in KY/TN or placed on transport to go to their new homes.  This is for the health and safety of the animal and the adopter.  As well as other animals on transport from different adoption agencies.  All animals do see a vet prior to this trip and must have a health certificate to travel.  All records/vetting will be in the adoption folder; which you will need to bring to your adopted pets first vet apt.

The animals in foster care are available for adoption (unless pending/adopted is listed next to that animal's name) and can join their adoptive home after their second puppy vaccine is given.   Adoptive homes can pick their adopted fur~baby & adoption folder from the transport company at their scheduled stops/times.  Transport fees are paid directly to the company at the time of pick up.

The rescue goes by an outline to get these animals on the track of proper vetting and care.  There is a possibility that a health issues may arise after going through changes, stress etc. that were not known before hand ie. kennel cough, coccidia etc.     Some animals may require multiple worming with different products but can only be done with time in between or over doing this may cause risk to that animal.  We suggest that each pet is wormed with panacur or drontal approx. two to three wks from the last worming on the paperwork in the adoption folder.  (Tractor supply/pet stores/feed stores carry fenbendazole based de-worm which covers all four parasites recommended and less expensive than vet cost)

All potential adopters are required to submit an application for consideration.

If you are scheduled for a meet n greet & home visit please be on time.

The rescue makes all attempts to temperament test animals and give honest information so we can have happy pets and happy adopters.  If you have questions that are not answered on an animal's profile please email us your questions.

***The rescue will quarantine pets for a minimum of two + weeks AND administer a minimum of two vaccines, rabies 12 weeks or older DEPENDING ON YOUR STATES REQUIREMENT'S, but please be aware that other concerns such as kennel cough etc. can take weeks to show.  If kennel cough or other concerns that require treatment prior to leaving or issuing of health certificate show prior to transport said pet will have to wait to be transported on another transport at another time.  Adoption fees will be refunded IF AND ONLY the adoptive pet can NOT receive a health certificate.***
